The $20 Home Internet Backup plan costs less, but it only includes 100 hours of use per billing cycle, so it isn’t meant to be your everyday connection.
The $10 AutoPay discount only applies when payments come from a debit card or bank account. Pay with a credit card, or pay by hand each month, and every plan costs $10 more. T-Mobile also notes the discount may not appear on your first bill, which surprises a lot of new customers.
No annual contract, and the early termination fee listed on every plan label is $0. The one catch is the gateway. Send it back undamaged when you leave, or T-Mobile can charge up to $370. Keep your shipping receipt with the tracking number.

Same network, higher speed ceiling, and a premium Wi-Fi 7 gateway. It helps when several people stream, game, and hold work calls at the same moment, or when the gateway sits far from the rooms you use most. Speeds still depend on signal at your address, so a weak-signal home won’t suddenly get fast because of the plan name.
Everything in Amplified, plus Hulu (With Ads), Paramount+ Essential, Advanced Cyber Security, 24/7 live help with video support, and a free gateway upgrade after three years. A mesh WiFi extender is included too, but you have to call 1-844-275-9310 after activation to request it. Nobody mails it automatically unless T-Mobile’s diagnostics flag a weak spot.

Built for households that keep cable or fiber but can’t afford to lose the connection, such as people who rely on medical alert systems, security cameras, or remote work. It switches over automatically during an outage and includes 100 hours of use per billing cycle, plus three Backup Passes a year that each add another 100 hours. Don’t pick it as a cheap main connection. One hundred hours works out to only about three hours a day.
The only T-Mobile internet plan meant to move with you. The 200GB version slows to a crawl once the allotment runs out, so full-time travelers usually need Unlimited. Snowbirds get a useful perk: you can pause service for up to 90 days, twice a year, for $10 a month instead of paying full price while the rig sits in storage.
A separate wired service in a growing list of cities. Upload speed matches download speed, which 5G can’t do. Pricing differs noticeably from one market to the next, with many areas landing between about $45 and $70 a month with AutoPay depending on speed. Professional installation and the Wi-Fi router are included. If fiber reaches your address, compare it before choosing 5G.
Charges the Advertised Price Leaves Out

Start with the 55+ bundle. If you’re 55 or older and on a qualifying T-Mobile 55+ phone plan, Rely drops to $30 a month through a $20 monthly bill credit. Existing customers must register the promo code within 30 days of activating the internet line, or the credit never starts.
The federal Affordable Connectivity Program ended in June 2024, so that $30 discount is gone. The Lifeline program still offers up to $9.25 a month toward phone or internet service from participating companies. Rely, Amplified, and All-In are registered to one service address, so they aren’t built for travel. AWAY is. Many snowbirds keep a home plan at their main house and put AWAY on pause, at $10 a month, during the months the RV sits parked. Two 90-day pauses a year cover a long season.
Look at three lines on the bill before you call. First, did a bundle credit fall off? Canceling or changing a phone line can end it. Second, did AutoPay stop because a card expired? Third, did local taxes change? The guarantee covers the internet price itself, not taxes, fees, or credits. If none of those explain it, call Home Internet support and ask them to walk through the price guarantee start date on your account.
There’s no early termination fee on the home plans, so the only real risk is the gateway. Pack it with its power cord, ship it the way T-Mobile tells you to, and photograph the box and keep the tracking number. An unreturned or damaged gateway can cost up to $370, and the tracking number is your proof if a charge appears weeks later.
