SpaceX Stock Price Today — Live SPCX Chart
Loading chart…
The intraday chart refreshes every two minutes during market hours; the dotted line marks the previous close and the dashed line the $135 IPO price. "Since IPO" is SpaceX's full trading record — there is no 5- or 10-year price chart because the stock only began trading on June 12. Hover or drag across the chart to read any point.
The biggest single thing moving this stock isn't rockets or AI headlines — it's the calendar. Since August, wave after wave of shares owned by employees and early investors has become free to sell, and the stock's direction around those dates told us more than any analyst note. The next release is up to 328.4 million shares on Mon, Oct 26 — in 12 days. Meanwhile, traders are paying for a move of about ±$5.19 (±3.4%) by Friday, October 16 — a far more honest guide to the near term than any single-number prediction.
SpaceX shares last traded at $152.23, down $4.31, or 2.75%, so far today. The stock is 12.8% above its $135 IPO price, and Wall Street's average 12-month target is $221.26. This page tracks the live price, what analysts and the options market expect, when more insider shares unlock, and how SpaceX compares with Tesla.
Key Answers About SpaceX Stock
Every number below updates with the market. These are the questions people ask most when they look up SpaceX's share price.
SpaceX (SPCX) is at $152.23 a share in U.S. dollars, down $4.31, or 2.75%, so far today. That gives the company a market value of $2.01 trillion.
Yes. SpaceX trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker SPCX, priced in U.S. dollars. Because of a new fast-entry rule, it joined the Nasdaq-100 index on July 7, less than a month after listing. It is not in the S&P 500 — S&P requires at least a year of trading history before it will consider the stock.
Yes — through any regular brokerage account that offers Nasdaq stocks, including IRAs. Many brokers sell fractional shares, so you don't need $152.23 to start. Starlink is not a separate stock, and anyone selling "pre-IPO" or discounted SpaceX shares today is running a scam.
Most analysts think so, but not all. Of 38 current ratings, 30 are buy or strong buy, 5 are hold and 3 are sell or strong sell. Their average target of $221.26 is 45.3% above today's price. Treat that as a gauge of sentiment, not a promise.
For the next trading day, options imply a typical move of about ±$4.51 — a range of roughly $147.72 to $156.75. That comes from an implied volatility of 47% a year; about two days in three should land inside it.
No one knows, and anyone quoting a precise share price for 2030, 2035 or 2040 is guessing. What you can do is test the math: our scenario calculator starts from analysts' live revenue forecasts and today's share count, then shows what the price per share would be under growth and valuation assumptions you choose.
SpaceX's highest closing price so far is $211.39, set on June 16. During the trading day it has gone as high as $225.64 and as low as $104.83. Its lowest close was $108.27 on August 5. At $152.23, it is 28.0% below that record.
About 2.3 billion shares held by employees and early investors have become eligible to trade since August. The next release is up to 328.4 million shares on Mon, Oct 26 — in 12 days. After that comes the year's largest batch — up to 1.3 billion shares on the second full trading day after third-quarter results.
Third-quarter results are due Tuesday, November 3 (expected — SpaceX hasn't confirmed the date yet), after the market closes. It will be only SpaceX's second report as a public company; the first, on August 4, was followed by a drop of about 14% the next day.
SpaceX Price Target and Analyst Ratings
The 31 analysts tracked by Yahoo Finance have an average 12-month target of $221.26 (median $225.00), 45.3% above today's price of $152.23. Individual targets run from $118.00 to $450.00 — the high target is 3.8 times the low one.
A 12-month target is one analyst's estimate under one set of assumptions. SpaceX's targets are unusually far apart because analysts disagree about what they are valuing: a launch and satellite-internet company with real revenue today, or an AI-computing and mobile-network business whose payoff is years away. And with only one quarter of public results so far, analysts are working with very little reported history.
SpaceX Stock Prediction for Tomorrow and This Week
For the next trading day, options imply a typical move of about ±$4.51 — a range of roughly $147.72 to $156.75. That comes from an implied volatility of 47% a year; about two days in three should land inside it.
Nobody can know where SpaceX will close this week, but the options market is pricing in a move of about ±$5.19 (±3.4%) by Friday, October 16 — roughly $147.04 to $157.42.
Both ranges come from what traders are paying for SPCX options right now. The weekly figure is the price of an "at-the-money" straddle — a call plus a put at the strike nearest today's price — expiring Friday. The one-day figure converts the same options' implied volatility into a single session. Ranges widen ahead of earnings and big unlock dates, and the stock can and does finish outside them.
SpaceX Stock Price Prediction — Next Year and the Long Run
Analysts expect SpaceX's revenue to reach about $45.3 billion this year and $117.5 billion next year — growth of 160%. At today's $2.01 trillion market value, the stock trades at about 17.1 times next year's expected sales, so much of that growth is already built into the price.
Revenue over the past four reported quarters totaled $23.0 billion, and the latest quarter was up 92% from a year earlier.
Starts from analysts' live consensus revenue for this year and next, today's share count and today's price. After five years, growth fades gradually toward 4% a year, because no company compounds at high rates forever. These are illustrations of the math, not forecasts.
A price for 2030 depends on two guesses multiplied together: how big the business gets, and what investors will pay for each dollar of sales by then. SpaceX's bull case rests on Starlink becoming a phone carrier, AI computing in orbit and cheap Starship launches; the bear case is that the stock already prices in years of that success. Small changes to either guess swing the answer by hundreds of dollars a share — try the presets above to see it.
Why SpaceX Stock Is Moving
SpaceX is 12.8% above its $135 IPO price. These are the forces behind its swings.
Starlink is SpaceX's largest business and is adding more than half a million subscribers a month. On October 8, SpaceX agreed to buy a nationwide block of 800 MHz low-band spectrum from Grain Management — reportedly about $8 billion, still pending FCC approval — on top of the EchoStar airwaves it bought last year. The same week, the FCC approved up to 15,000 next-generation Starlink Mobile satellites. Shares of AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile fell sharply on the news.
SpaceX absorbed Musk's xAI, maker of the Grok chatbot, before going public and later bought Anysphere, the company behind the Cursor coding tool. That AI unit is its fastest-growing segment and its biggest cash drain, and SpaceX has sought about $40 billion in new debt to buy AI chips. As a result, the stock often moves with AI and memory-chip stocks rather than with aerospace companies.
In late September, Starship reached orbit for the first time and deployed 26 Starlink V3 satellites. A fully reusable Starship is central to the bull case because it would cut the cost of launching far larger satellites. Every flight test is now a catalyst in both directions — successes have lifted the stock, and failures can hit it hard.
More shares eligible to sell doesn't mean they will be sold, but it adds supply when the stock is above the price many early holders paid.
Second-quarter revenue jumped 92% from a year earlier to $7.8 billion, and the net loss narrowed to $541 million. Even so, at 17.1 times next year's expected sales, SpaceX is valued far richer than most large companies. Third-quarter results on Tuesday, November 3 (expected — SpaceX hasn't confirmed the date yet) will be a key test.

What Would My SpaceX Investment Be Worth?
Pick a stock, an amount and the date you bought. The calculator uses that day's closing price — or the $135 offer price if you received IPO shares — and today's live price. It ignores fees; neither company pays a dividend.
What to Do in Your Situation
Check the calculator above for your gain or loss. Shares sold before you've held them more than a year are taxed as short-term gains at ordinary income rates; IPO shares bought June 12 cross into long-term treatment in mid-June 2027. In a taxable account, that date can be worth more than a few weeks of price moves.
You may already own SpaceX. Funds that track the Nasdaq-100, such as QQQ, bought it when it joined the index in July, and some target-date and total-market funds hold it too. The slice is small, but check your fund's holdings before buying more of a stock you may already have.
The days around SpaceX's earnings reports and large lock-up releases — including the earnings-linked batch of up to 1.3 billion shares — tend to be among its most volatile. If you buy, a limit order protects you from paying far more than you intended in a fast market, and buying in smaller pieces over several weeks reduces the risk of picking the worst day.
Options can expire worthless in days, and leveraged single-stock funds reset daily, so they can lose money even when the stock ends flat. If a broker, social-media account or "mentor" is pushing these, slow down and verify them first.
SpaceX is public now, so there is no legitimate "pre-IPO" deal, and Starlink has no stock of its own. Impersonation scams also use deepfake Elon Musk videos promising to double your crypto. SpaceX and Musk don't sell shares or run giveaways through messages. Don't send money or crypto, and report it.
